What you need to Know
Parking
Please park in the designated areas only and comply with our parking attendants. Vehicles parked in unauthorized areas will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Division Winners
Please have your team ready for the prize presentation and pictures. Check with REGISTRATION for exact time and place.
Dogs
Please, Absolutely NO DOGS ALLOWED! PLEASE LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME. Much as your home parks, Public Health Regulations prohibit dogs from being in any of our tournament parks. Please respect the health and comfort of your fellow ball players.
Bus Transportation- Sponsored by Vernon Home Building Centre
A free shuttle bus is provided. Please refer to your registration package for schedule. This is a free service from the Bud Light Gardens to hotels and campgrounds in the area to help us reduce traffic congestion and eliminate drinking and driving.
Schedule
The first draw will be on Friday evening at 5:00 pm; there are also several teams starting play on Saturday. If your team is traveling a great distance you may request a Saturday draw when you register. The complete listing is on the registration page so you can chose the best start time for your team. This gives everyone lots of time to get to settled and get oriented.
Age Restriction
This is an adult tournament. All participants must be at least 19 years of age.
Funtastic is a fun co-ed tournament. We have set divisions based on playing levels from 1 to 8 with #1 being seasoned “A” ball players to #8 being you play once a year. We also have the Subway Costume Division and special prizing for teams that dress up in costumes.
Rain Out
No such thing! At this time of year in the Okanagan rain is like a warm shower. Actually, if game is called by umpire on account of inclement weather after the game has started and the game is to not be finished then the final score will be the score at the last fully completed inning.
2. In case of inclement weather both teams must show up to the fields planning to play (unless games have been called by the Umpire in Chief see#3). If one team does not show up with enough players, that team will forfeit. If raining and both teams, and the scheduled umpire agree that it is safe, and all are willing to play then the game may begin. (Umpire has right to call game if conditions become unsafe ie. lightning)
3. In case of major storm with no let up in sight, the Umpire in Chief in consultation with Funtastic Committee, may call off entire games. All games called prior to start will be assigned a 7-7 tie. There will be no rescheduling of called off games.
Score Sheets
The winning team of each game is responsible for turning in a correctly completed score sheet to the Boston Pizza Scoreboard Zone immediately after the game.
